Greetings from the President
Thank you for visiting our website!
Tissue engineering in Malaysia was commenced in late 1999 and has since dedicated itself to the sole objective for the advancement and promotion of Tissue Engineering in Malaysia. The Registrar of Societies, Malaysia, officially registered the Tissue Engineering Society of Malaysia (TESMA) on The 10th November 2004. The first Annual General Meeting was held on the 8th of June 2005 at National University of Malaysia Hospital (Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia). It was a successful meeting for a newly formed society attended by various groups of professionals including doctors, researches, academicians from major universities in Malaysia and representatives from various biotechnology companies. It is hoped that through TESMA, guidelines and policies on research and clinical trials in the field of Tissue Engineering specifically, cell therapy and regenerative medicine in Malaysia can be defined. With the formation of society and active participation by its members the next logical steps is to collaborate with other tissue engineering societies in the world. In doing so tissue engineering will contribute to world health in developed and underdeveloped countries.
With this I wish all of you the very best in your research endeavors and I look forward to your greater support, participation and feedbacks.
Thank you and have a good day!
